Red Flannel Days 08

Red Flannel Days are in Cedar Springs.... I remember my first Red Flannel Day experience, it was not great. My mom and dad were in Cedar Springs and we decided to go to the parade. The catch being that everyone is supposed to wear red. I was probally around 3-4 years old at the time. I was devasated when the keystone cops took both my mom and dad and threw them behind bars... I was alone and crying.... At 3-4 years old I thought that my parents were really going to jail. I remember my mom being irrate because she saw that I was visably upset...
They eventually got out of jail and the next time I returned to Red Flannel Days was in October of 2004. Now, I think that Red Flannel Days are so much fun. Emma loves to eat the cotton candy and she loves to see the parade. This year was especially fun... Holly and I were nearly late because of our trip to Rockford and of course shopping. I bought the hat that I am wearingand totally love it-it gives me an excuse to not do my hair. LOL.
Anyways spending time with the girls was great. I also was able to see Kyle and Erin (niece and nephew) and my cousin Amber who I have not seen in years.... we posed for a picture it was cute.. I will post it later.

I absolutely love the fall~ it is my fav time of the year. The leaves are so beautiful and I can actually breath.. I cannot wait for Halloween and the Taylor Swift concert that my daughter Emma and I are going to in less than a week, I will be sure to post pictures... soon.

******Harbor Springs**** July 2008

Harbor Springs is so gorgeous! We visited my sister-in-law Erin while she was babysitting. Harbor Springs was fun. The trip started at 5:00am for Jeremy, Emma and I only because Jeremy gets overexcited, go figure. We stopped in Mancelona at a great resturant. Emma was very happy when we arrived. We hung out at Dewitt's for a while, it was so wonderful. Jeremy was greeted by the town crab-a really well to do lady with zero class... Jeremy was parked in front of her milllion dollar mansion what a crisis right? Emma ditched her shoes and ran happily through the blades of green grass. The whole Emmorey clan watched the parade and following the parade the two girls Jade and Emma were out like a light, we left Dad Emmorey to push the stroller while we shopped. He makes a good nanny as long as they were sleeping. Emma and Jade woke up on the wrong side of the stroller and fought just about every picture we attempted. Once Emma got her feet in the water her mood chilled a bit.. Overall a fun trip! It brought back memories from my honeymoon.... ohoohohohaahhhahha.

Summer Time fun...

I was recently invited by a friend at work to play in her softball league. I was excited of course because I LOVe softball... Nervous because I have not played since high school. To my suprise I did great!!! It is even A league ball, so that was a confidence booster. Not to mention a group of new friends. It makes me feel like I used to when I was younger! It was peaceful to have a few hours off of being mom.... I love Emma to death but it was great.

I am recently into biking with my husband and Emma. It has been a great opportunity for us to spend quality time together not to mention the exercise. I am finding that there is hope for my "mommy body" yet!

Pictures of Family Fun!

Can you believe it?

Today, My wonderful husband calls me and says, "Uh.. I locked my keys in the Envoy," can you come unlock the doors. I said NO! Only because the last time I locked my keys in my car you would've thought the world came to an end.... I was shocked the the perfect specimen "my husband," actually had a blonde moment..... I love my husband to death so I called road side assistance, I think that I am a good wife after all.

Shipshewana Trip

So, the group of 16 went to Shipshe for the annual get together. It was so fun and may I mention relaxing! Jeremy and Dad Emmorey were in awe of the beautiful farm scenery. I was in awe of the shopping opportunites. Emma on the other hand was quite testy at times. Emma enjoyed the fresh donuts and candy....

Ryan and Mary were busy with their girls, they had a blast in the pool.

This weekend was so much fun! Jeremy, Emma and I stopped at the Binder Park Zoo to see the giraffes!!!!

Memorial Day was great too, the norm-grilled hamburgers, brats, Mom Emmorey's beans and the gas that would follow....
